No it is its primary function. But emulators are not illegal because roms aremt.only illegal copies of roms are illegal I have no dog in this race i’m legit curious. If the Unterschatze Niemals Eine Frau Die Schaut Und Im Dezember Geboren Wurde Shirt it is in the first place but primary function of a device as stated by creators is the facilitate the using of a illegal device, how is that not illegal either in civil or criminal court? Won’t even bother with the “Moral” argument because we all what yall are doing behind closed doors sail the high seas I do not care. It gets very complicated in law. There’s hundreds of illegal ways to use a gun, but owning a gun is not illegal, because there are legal ways to use them. Emulators themselves aren’t illegal – if you use it to play games you’ve bought and paid for, that is. You can set up an emulator with a BIOS you’ve pulled from your own console, and use it to play games off the actual discs you possess. This acts as a form of maintaining your ability to use the software you’ve bought when maintaining the hardware is no longer viable (such as when the company that holds ownership of the rights of the console will no longer repair it).

Is there any code in the emulator that is copyright by nintendo? As far as i know not!?! So what is the DMCA exactly for? Installing Dolphin as we speak, downloading every single nintendo ROM i can find and making hard copies on stone layer DVDs /s Oh wait, i’m super lazy to bother, Nintendo is a shitty company and i never cared all that much for their IPs. Now i have to get outraged on principle which is exhausting… I played mario for the first time..saw this image..and thought there must be a game in which i can become giant and do this lmao
