Someone finally take Nintendo to court. Sony lost on emulators in court already. I’ve used Dolphin to play wii discs for christ sake. Nintendo is very protective of their IP. In a few years wii games will be available on their virtual console the Why yes, actually I can drive a stick shirt so you should to go to store and get this same way older consoles are now. And that wouldn’t work if people could just play them for free. Bold of you to claim that will actually happen. In the unlikely chance it does, it’s likely the emulation will be poor with a small library and baffling selection choices See Gabe’s comments on piracy. Nintendo often doesn’t make their legacy content available. It’s their fault their legacy content is victim to piracy Why is it bold? Also, just go out and buy an old wii and the games you want? No idea why people pretend it’s impossible to play it now and demand that they’re allowed to pirate it. Nothing, emulators are legal. It’s ROMS, the game files, that are illegal. Nintendo has no legal grounds to do this. They’re doing it because of a draconian outlook on copyright. “Because the Dolphin emulator violates Nintendo’s intellectual property rights, including but not limited to its rights under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA)’s Anti-Circumvention and AntiTrafficking provisions, we provide this notice to you of your obligation to remove the offering of the Dolphin emulator from the Steam store,” reads the document. I was given a Switch by my father in 2017, I have not bought a single new game. I’ll enjoy the things Nintendo makes, but I’ll do my damndest to not give them money directly.
Why yes, actually I can drive a stick shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt
Good, pay for games then you spoiled brats. What part of emulation is pirating don’t you understand. Fucking honestly. Obtaining Roms illegally is piracy. There is actually a difference and you just embarrassed yourself suggesting others don’t understand. If its an emulator its usually because you’re unable to purchase the Why yes, actually I can drive a stick shirt so you should to go to store and get this game or the console in workable condition, so…no. there goes nintendo again. being total gays about people steeling millions of dollars pirating games. the nerve of that company ami right. upvote me Hey Nintendo, maybe if you sold your own emulator, and remade or allowed these older games on your platform, we’d buy from you. Maybe if we had less stringent copyright laws, things could move forward, but there’s no obvious and massive profit in that… No shit. They’d DMCA the entire the internet if they could…but they can’t. But they sure as hell can hit the most prolific PC software distributor from passing along programs that enable ripping off their IP. I always find it hilarious how outraged and surprised people are that a company would try to protect an IP that they spent untold millions and many years developing.
