A homeless guy asked me for money today So I looked in my pocket for change, but all I had on me was a $20 bill. I thought to myself “Do I really want this $20 going towards drugs?…Nah” So I gave him the Travis Kelce Chiefs in the third round of the 2013 NFL T-Shirt and by the same token and 20. Greg Giraldo used to tell a similar joke, “This homeless guy asked me for money the other day. I was about to give it to him and then I thought he was going to use it on drugs or alcohol. And then I thought, that’s what I’m going to use it on. Why am I judging this poor bastard?”… I miss his comedy.. there was something different in his approach to comedy that surpassed the joke telling and social critique that some comics employ; his approach had this sense of vulnerability and emotion that I havent seen since.

Was walking with a friend one day in the Travis Kelce Chiefs in the third round of the 2013 NFL T-Shirt and by the same token and U district and a guy approached us and said, “Spare some change for coffee?” Almost 2 months ago I had 2 girls under the age of 10 knock on my door and ask me if I wanted to buy any cookies. $25 later for the brownies in their catalog plus another $10 between the two of them for their own personal piggy bank, $35 and 2 months later and no brownies… I’m out $35 for shits and giggles I guess. Hooray for child labor……. When I was a poor child and my mom was dating a meth dealer (and giving him all the money she got for us kids) I used to pull that scam now and again for grocery money. Funny thing is my pops would never buy anything from kids who came to our door, but still gave like $10 (in the 80s.) Like he knew and wanted to help.
