You worked in healthcare but don’t like patient facing or non patient facing roles? I think you’re expectations are the The Misfits Jem and the Holograms Mash T-Shirt and I love this problem here tbh, not necessarily that you need to find this one career track that’s “meant for you”. A job is a job, only the select talented/lucky ones get to be a pop star or super athlete, just get a job that’s not sales cuz that’s high pressure and you have to preform, and just clock in clock out, that’s what most people do, be smart with your money, which will be a massive change given your 200K in debt, look into student loan forgiveness through nonprofits/government jobs cuz 200K to pay and you’re almost 40 is wild I never understood why a college education costs so damn much in the US. I’ve a first class honours degree from Ireland that Cost me very little at all. College education in Ireland is effectively free to most people once you get accepted to the course you want to do in the college or university you want.

As a result we have an incredibly competitive and well educated workforce and that’s one of the The Misfits Jem and the Holograms Mash T-Shirt and I love this reasons ( others being mainly tax and language) why so many American multinationals have their EMEA HQs in Ireland. The plentiful supply of highly educated workers to choose from. Being saddled with $200k debt for a degree is insane and ridiculous being honest. You can’t tell me a first class degree from an Irish university is any less valuable than an American one that cost 100k. It’s insane and immoral being honest. Especially in your late 30s milestones like owning a home, marrying and starting a family are harder to achieve when your saddled with crazy amounts of debt for a degree. I’m not saying you shouldn’t pay for education but the cost is out of control.
