Whoah whoah whoah, so many of the The Drum Face Muppets Show T-Shirt so you should to go to store and get this comments here are cruel AF. Telling a struggling person Work Harder You Are The Problem is not helpful. Jesus. You’ve had a long and interesting career. I don’t have advice for an ultra high paying job, but one possible avenue for stable work might be admin related? I know people who are Document Controllers, in the engineering industry. They sometimes sound like IT jobs because it sounds like you’re managing a database? But these jobs are largely Non-Technical. (Multiple industries like engineering, medical, and legal have very specific requirements for how their information is tagged and stored.) might be worth searching for DC jobs or their equivalent in med/law.

Another potential avenue might be Project Controls/cost controller? Half PManagement and half Fincnaial/accounting, amirite? Project related, and not banking related amirite? Since you have some project management experience, AND financial experience, this might be a way to dip a toe back into a similar but different role ,that still has a through-line to your previous PM experience, and might be easier to present on a resume. Please don’t listen to the The Drum Face Muppets Show T-Shirt so you should to go to store and get this people that say tolerate your job or that you aren’t supposed to like it. Why would you spend half of your life doing something that doesn’t bring you pleasure when there’s a possibility of it? Keep doing what you are doing. Try different things until something works. Until then you are finding out what you absolutely don’t want while the rest of us are tolerating our jobs.
