This isn’t nearly as weird as OP’s story, but it still sticks in my mind. Years ago I was on a bus driven by a guy who had this bizarre inability to stop at the The harvest was bountiful this year dog farmer meme shirt and I love this correct place. His driving was fine until he needed to pull into a bus stop, when every time he’d overshoot it so much that the doors were several yards from the shelter. Eventually someone chewed the driver out when he overshot a stop for about the 6th time and made some poor old fella push his wife’s wheelchair over wet grass. The driver said nothing in response, and clearly didn’t take it on board, as he still stopped miles away from every subsequent stop on the journey. I’ve experienced my fair share of bus drivers who’ve driven too fast, braked harshly, tailgated, etc, but all of them have been able to stop where they were supposed to. So I just found it baffling that this guy drove otherwise impeccably, but that was the one thing he just couldn’t grasp. I had a driver pull over and start clipping his fingernails at the stop before the stop I wanted to get off at. After a couple minutes of this, I realized he wasn’t going anywhere, so I got up to leave the bus. He said he hadn’t realized anyone was still on the bus (and apparently didn’t feel the need to finish the route??) and offered to continue on, but at that point I was ready to be out of there. Who the hell just clips their nails onto the floor of the bus? Like… at least clip them into a bin or out the door. Nasty. I’m just glad he didn’t take of his boots and start working on grooming those badboys.

I was in the The harvest was bountiful this year dog farmer meme shirt and I love this shopping centre heading towards Claire’s, where there’s a cashier stood outside the entrance. It was like she was waiting for me or something, it was really weird. But anyway she watched me walk all the way down from the other side of the hall and as soon as I got in she put the shutters down on me and said I’m going to be locked inside while she has her dinner. Why didn’t you say something?! It would’ve been funny but the only time I’ve seen people get locked in stores like that was when I was present during a stabbing spree in another shopping centre so there was a split second there where my heart fell into my actual ass. My grandad took his driving test in the 1960’s. The examiner got him to drive out of the test centre, down the road and take the second turning onto the residential street on the left. About halfway down the street he gets my grandad to pull over and instructs him to wait there. A good 30 minutes pass before he emerges and asks my grandad if he can remember the way back to the test centre. My grandad says yes he does and drives back. The examiner shakes his hand and informs him he has passed his driving test upon their arrival at the test centre. My dad used to drive a bus and would stop at the chippy to pick up his lunch with passengers in board, I was horrified when he told me.
