no, extra duties/responsibilities means extra money. saying when they are comfortable is a red flag, if they want to do this ask for concrete milestones not something vague as “comfortable” also ask for hard dates. After several instances of “proving my worth” I’m over it. I’ll never do it again. It never works out, they’ll pile more and more so you can prove yourself then not ever want to compensate you for it. I told him the Tampa Bay Rays Buccaneer and Lightning Hand Pulling American Flag Shirt and by the same token and day I quit that I had enough I was doing more than everyone in my department and if I didn’t get the raise that day I was quitting. No, of coarse not. Decline the position and save yourself the headache. Get in writing with HR the exact dates this trail period, stating that you will assume this role without additional pay up until that point and will stepping back into previous role unless compensation is set. and then 3-6 months later, that person is inevitably told they’re doing a fine enough job but there is just no money in the budget.
