The movie giving Bruce an actual arc here towards being a superhero is so welcomed. My feelings are entirely reinforced by the Summer Vibes Gnomes Shirt moreover I will buy this ending – Bruce spending the whole movie talking about existing entirely in the shadows, acting like a vampiric entity. The entire film is so overwhelmingly darkly lit, only lightly giving form from afew specific light sources. But finally in the arena, after he realizes what his vengeance was doing to the people of Gotham, only to truly find purpose in being the light guiding people out of darkness. I felt the emo ness was too on the nose. They also put all the action scenes in the damn trailer. The movie was also way too long. This batman did not seem to feel like a hero. More like a crazy person with body armor. I really like the cinematography and it is really beautiful to look at but I feel kind of let down. Wasn’t slow burn for me. More like boredom. This movie had some great atmosphere.

The only thing I have to say negative about the Summer Vibes Gnomes Shirt moreover I will buy this movie is that I hate that they included ‘the joker’ in a scene that adds nothing to the film other than a sequel hook. Stop. The character has needed to be put to pasture for a long time. I don’t want another live action one. One of my favorite reveals of all time is the original robocop. Stomping through the police station, catching glimpses, everyone getting excited and running to see, then seeing him on the range obliterate that target. Has such a visceral feel to it. This really reminded me of that. His first reveal is probably one of the best ever. Same visceral feel. Sense of foreboding. Totally sucks you in. God I’ve been thinking about this movie so much today. That nirvana song totally stuck in my head. So perfectly used.
