I used to go to this funky little place with a piece of ripped cardboard in the Steven Nelson American football cornerback for the Houston Texans T-Shirt but in fact I love this window that said ‘haircuts £2’. He was cheap all right. He was blind but did a good cut. Then when he disappeared I went to this place that did cuts for £6. They guy tried to talk to me but he didn’t understand me and I couldn’t understand a word he said either. When I lived in Whitechapel the barbers closest to my flat got taken over by (judging by the flag on the wall) Colombians. There was only one guy that spoke English, and he wasn’t always there so if he wasn’t it was down to holding up a chunk of my hair and miming scissors about halfway up. Decent haircut but dodgy as fuck. Why are they all offering barista coffees, alcoholic drinks and whatnot? Obviously it’s worked into the price, but for 30m who really needs that?

Charge me £5-10 less and no drinks please It’s like how every sandwich in pret comes loaded with mayo, watercress and egg. Those ingredients are very cheap to add, but makes a segment of the population feel less like they’re being ripped off when they’re paying £6 for a sandwich When I lived in Warsaw, I used to go to a fancy upscaled barbershop. I don’t really have a choice since everywhere else sucks. It cost me £20 per visit and they served beer and whiskey(Jameson). I would book the last slot at 7 pm and get slosh while getting a haircut. Save me some money before going to a party.
