You say the Stars and Stripes, Reproductive Rights Vintage T-Shirt moreover I love this fetus isn’t a person, and that even if it were a person, its interests wouldn’t override the interests in bodily autonomy. I’ll have you know both of those questions are hotly debated in the scholarly literature. For two authors who argue your side, see Elizabeth Harman (on the personhood question) and Judith Jarvis Thompson (on the autonomy overriding personhood question). You will find that they both take the other side very seriously, because that’s the only way to get anywhere. I hope you do some soul searching and allow yourself, even for a second, to doubt whether you really have all the answers. A dead person has the right to dictate how their body is used, even if it means the life or death of an actual person. A dead person shouldn’t have more rights then a women. I hope you do some soul searching and allow yourself, even for a second, to doubt whether you really have all the answers.

No, the Stars and Stripes, Reproductive Rights Vintage T-Shirt moreover I love this Constitution limits citizenship to people born or naturalized in the US. The Constitution does not say non-citizens don’t have rights or cannot be guaranteed them by the States. (It’s how foreigners can acquire property rights in US real estate, for example.) In any case, I don’t see how the point is relevant. Alito has not recognized that fetuses have any constitutional rights. A big part of the Court’s motivation for striking down Roe is the extent to which it has poisoned American politics. Pretty sure striking down Roe is going to poison it further. If that’s their motivation, it reads like bullshit. You might be right. I think the Court thinks that by overturning Roe, they’ll turn abortion into a state issue. I wonder whether that bet will pan out.
