It’s rare to find someone who’s both book smart and every day smart. But here’s the thing about me: when I’m tired, that’s it. I’ve abruptly stopped everything I’ve ever started as an adult because at some point, I get burned out and need a break and full time jobs and university do not pause for you to figure yourself out for an unknown amount of time. There are logistical and financial consequences. I’m probably undiagnosed adhd, I have an incredibly hard time making a list of chores and following through. Imagine one of the smartest men you know can’t find the energy to clean his toilet, take out the recycling, shower, shave my beard, moisturize my skin. These tasks for me are the hardest things I ever do. Trying to stay on top of medical and legal appointments is like trying to swim in metal armour.

I’ve never struggled with school, ever. As long as I go to class and pay attention, I can basically guarantee success in any field.
