Definitely a movie that didn’t need to be as long as it did. Also the Peace Love Joy Snoopy Shirt Additionally,I will love this ending was very anti-climatic. Finally, the fight scenes were OK but nothing memorable. I was expecting a scene comparable to the warehouse scene in BvS and was disappointed we didn’t get anything even close to that. Overall good movie. But not the groundbreaking masterpiece I walked in expecting (or was sold). Anybody else just think the film dragged a bit? I swear there were a few different times I thought it could’ve ended but it just kept going. I thought certain edits were a bit strange, jumping from scene to scene. Overall I thought it was okay. Pattinson is definitely my favourite on-screen Batman. I think he nails the voice. I like how his Batman feels more human, he makes a lot of mistakes throughout the film. Loved the score and the film is definitely the best looking Batman film. The third act was painfully mediocre. And for a film focusing so much on the detective aspect, the “mystery” was really lacklustre. Which is a shame because the actors all brought their A game. The script was a lot weaker than Reddit will ever admit to. First 2/3 was good though. Am I the only human on Earth who didn’t like it? I was extremely hyped going in but it just.. didn’t work for me. It was overly long and trying to do too much, like there was originally a miniseries written and then they tried to cram it all into a single marathon of a movie instead. It also felt like it was shot on a grand total of like, five sets? The whole thing kept running around in circles, for me.(Okay, we gotta go to the club. But wait! There’s a club in the club! But wait! The mob boss is also there in another layer of club!) And I thought that car chase was borderline unintelligble– as did my husband, who usually LOVES The Batman Chase in every movie. Gordon also spent the entire movie stating the obvious and/or being shocked and taken aback by what was happening, to the point where we were laughing by the time he was describing the voice message as they were all listening to it. Like, Jim, pal. Buddy. You are the police commssioner in the most crime-riddled city in the country, not Ice-T in that John Mulaney bit about SVU.
