GF didn’t like it. I liked it. She was super disappointed. I thought it exceeded my expectations. Joy of films. We all watch the Please Do Not Disturb I Am Disturbed Enough Already Elephant Shirt and by the same token and same thing and feel different about it ? Definitely felt like Gordon was put in the movie to hold the viewers hand through what they thought was a real tricky investigation. It really wasn’t that hard to follow in my opinion lol. The movie is a 0/10 from me. I went in with the expectation that Paul Dano is going to get the shit beat out of him and it didn’t deliver. A waste of 3 hours. /s It’s everything I’ve ever wanted in a Batman movie. Se7en in a caped crusader universe – no superpowers, just fear and intimidation with a healthy dose of hard-boiled detective work.

Could be trimmed by 15 minutes, but I’m not complaining. I adored this movie. Yeah, but I like Se7en the Please Do Not Disturb I Am Disturbed Enough Already Elephant Shirt and by the same token and mystery in the Batman movie had zero intrigue. There wasn’t anything interesting about riddlers motives. It’s a detective idea with a very dull excuse for mystery kinda forced in there. The atmosphere was great, the actual script, not so much. Honestly I was so against this movie when it was announced, was positive Batman couldn’t be done better than the Nolan movies and ESPECIALLY by Pattinson. My first impression is that this is far and above the best Batman movie that exists. I was disappointed by the action in this film. I feel like they showed many of the most spectacular moments before the movie even came out, and the way they were presented in the actual film never inspired awe. This movie was a cut scene or two from toppling every Batman movie, and therefore every super-hero movie ever. It was that close. It was just way too long, and some scenes stretched out way too much. It was good, but not fantastic. And still not better than TDK although I’d rank it slightly above Begins. The score is not good as TDK, I think the theme similar like darth Vader lol Glad I’m not the only one who got Imperial March vibes from it.
