Sandler’s performance was extraordinary, a relentless and profound study of mania, ego, vulnerability and self destruction. He absolutely should have won Best Actor that year. In fact, Uncut Gems should have won Best Picture. That neither were even nominated is a total joke. He did make the Never underestimate an old man witth a cat shirt but in fact I love this worst movie ever… it was called Uncut Gems. Only movie I have walked out of, and I am a film geek who will stick through almost anything. It was just people yelling at each other and my friends and I were all bored. Chatted with someone after who said they had watched it the previous week and said good call leaving, cuz it didn’t get better. You gotta love how after making one really good movie people just sort of pretend his 30 awful ones don’t exist anymore. Maybe he can do another movie with that damn Kevin James. yuck. I’d rather walk through miles of glass and feces before watching anything by either of them ever again

People shit on Adam Sandler for his old movies. If you’re in that many movies than some of them are bound to be bad, at least not all are gonna be amazing. I never hear people say that about the Never underestimate an old man witth a cat shirt but in fact I love this Rock though, he’s been in a god awful amount of movies and I never hear anyone say “some of those were really really bad” he just gets praised for being a good actor, which Sandler is also Uncut Gems was one of the worst movies ever. Maybe he actually made that threat after releasing the movie prior to Uncut Gems? The man has proven for decades he is a better dramatic actor than a comedian. Should’ve at least been nominated for the Oscar. I could not disagree more vehemently. I think he is well rounded. You can’t take away from billy madison, happy gilmore, mr deeds! All around chops.
