Put them to a timeline on the Nate Diaz I’m Not Surprised Motherfuckers Shirt and by the same token and pay raise. I’d say between 90 days and 6 months max. Depending on how much this changes your scope of work. I would say absolutely not to any position change without a serious pay increase, and I’d name my price at that point because they’re desperate. Tell them to go to a steakhouse and order a burger, then tell them you’d like to upgrade your hamburger to a porterhouse but will only pay the burger price until you’ve had time to decide if you liked the steak or not. You may have to come back repeatedly for the porterhouse but will continue to pay burger prices until you’re sure you like it. At some point down the line, if you do, in fact, like it, you may then start to pay porterhouse prices for the steak. If they think you’re good enough to take on the new role with a title, they can pay for it, other wise, go eat a burger.

Nate Diaz I’m Not Surprised Motherfuckers Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

Have a back up, they might use you in the Nate Diaz I’m Not Surprised Motherfuckers Shirt and by the same token and interim and use that time to bring someone in from the outside to swoop into that position I have also had the promise of a new title and pay increase and training to happen “later” with no set date or path to nailing that promotion. I was thrust into the position after my manager quit. I wanted the promotion so I stayed, but no benchmarks were ever established. And when I asked they said I was still in training 🙄 even though the management training never started. If you want to work with them towards this request, you have to insist on benchmarks and dates for review. There should be some type of pay increase since your responsibilities will change now, even if they don’t want to give you the full increase right away. Get as many details in writing as possible. Details like: ALL duties, number of reports and who they are, who you report to and how they expect you to report to them, a timeline WITH DATES about when you will be evaluated about your performance in your new role, what the performance evaluation metrics will be, what the potential compensation (and any other benefits or rewards) will be once you pass muster, and exactly who will be performing your evaluation.
