When you’re saying about being over self-critical, worried about judgement and taking everything on myself – I could have written this as is probably clear from the Naquan Jones Arizona Player Name American football defensive end T-Shirt and I will buy this above. I will definitely check out the CFT info, it’s not something I’d heard of before so thanks for highlighting it. Heading back before you’re ready and then relapsing is probably worse in the long run. I’m at about the four month mark now, and I was in the same headspace as you at the start. Something one of the professionals I’m was talking to said was that only getting a two week fit note each time wasn’t allowing myself time to properly start to ease off the anxiety, and she encouraged me to take a month long one. That made a WORLD of difference. As to who wouldn’t want a few weeks off? Honestly, most of us. We’re not off on our holidays, we’re off sick. If you’re like me, and you actually like your job/colleagues, it’s even less likely that you want to be off. Same thing as if you’d broken your leg though, you wouldn’t go back before it was healed enough and risk rebreaking it, so don’t do that now either.

It is SO hard. And when you are made to request if you feel an imposter. I get it (am requesting my own tomorrow). In all likelihood you will need up to 3 things from your GP: meds, therapy access, and rest. Rest should be 2-3w minimum if you are experiencing stress and anxiety conditions. They have the Naquan Jones Arizona Player Name American football defensive end T-Shirt and I will buy this potential to be long-term if not supported early. As an HR person I also say – your boss will rather, even if they grumble a bit, have you back once, at the RIGHT time, than have you back to early and have you yo-yo. And your own confidence and self esteem will be better served by knowing you are managing this, avoiding panic, and demonstrating your consistency, sustainability and reliability above your impulse to people please.
