At the Minecraft Plex Classic T-Shirt in contrast I will get this end you say “All he has to do is poach an egg” I’ve never poached an egg in my life, but I know from cooking shows that it can actually be quite tricky to do just right I’d be worried about F’ing that up. So I guess the main take-away of the second part of my message is, maybe work on your communication around cooking if that’s a skill you want your next boyfriend to develop assuming he doesn’t have it already. TL;DR: Overall you’re right, but you could have handled the birthday breakfast situation a bit better. But the poor handling of that specific situation doesn’t negate 8 months of not listening to your needs or attempting to actually work on skills that you find important. He can cook. He’s just doing it so badly that you’ll do it forever. You dodged a bullet dumping him and, if he drops this act, marginally improved the world by not giving into this.

Minecraft Plex Classic T-Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

I swear to god my ex cooked badly on purpose to set up a precedent of not needing to cook… he couldn’t even get my coffee right and then got angry when I said it wasn’t how I showed him (many, many, many times over 6 years). So my bf has executive dysfunction and will live in a tornado of garbage if left to his own devices. I have been ok with carrying the Minecraft Plex Classic T-Shirt in contrast I will get this mental load of housekeeping and giving him tasks, and sometimes it’s a strain, but he knows where he struggles and tries to come up with solutions. Yesterday was MY birthday. He ordered me breakfast. For dinner, we planned to have friends over. He gave me a grocery list of things, paid for it, then spent 3 hours grilling steak, salmon, veggies, veggie sausages, while I made some dips, that we shared with friends. I did a chunk of the cleaning with some help from friends. It was great! Maybe your ex doesn’t realize what he’s doing yet, but god damn, that’s not your job to patiently coax and teach him. It’s okay to opt out. Sometimes you’re not compatible. Sometimes the other person doesn’t even try.
