I’ve been working for Airbnb’s oldest call center partner for about 5 months, and frankly it’s no wonder so many people are disgruntled with Customer Support and how we handle issues – especially how in the Michael Bolton American Singer 1953 Hard Rock Space 90s T-Shirt Additionally,I will love this name of speedy resolution, quality is compromised, and how toxic the workplace culture at my project really is. I’m handing in my two weeks’ notice as soon as I start my shift today at 18:00 GMT+1, because I can not work in good faith at this meat grinder of a job anymore for pay that barely covers my rent and worsened my mental condition to the level that I need to take medication to just barely function on a daily basis. I’m here to openly and somewhat anonymously shit on Airbnb and its call center partners from an insider’s perspective, give y’all some protips on how to handle your tickets with CS and overall have a laugh, albeit limited by my confidentiality clause. AMA!”Thank you for for being a valuable Super Rep. I’ll be away from my desk for the next week and will refer you to a different department. Someone will get back to you by the umpteenth of never.” Is it true that every CSR is going “off-shift” every second of every day, resulting in CSR disappearance for 48-72 hours immediately after receiving an urgent call?

Usually it’s at every hour, and in my office we handle 3 shifts – but I have seen cases where someone’s been told consecutively by 5 agents that their shift is ending. Whenever this happens and if the Michael Bolton American Singer 1953 Hard Rock Space 90s T-Shirt Additionally,I will love this case is urgent, we have to do a handoff. Thing is that some cases just can’t be solved in the last 2 hours of my shift after my supervisor just casually decided to assign your case to me. I had to demand 10 times to speak to a supervisor before I got one last time I needed to escalate. It took like a week too. Whats the magic phrase now? “We need to escalate this to management for resolution.” Doesnt seem to work for people that dont have english as a first language as much “You know what, I don’t have a busy day, I’m just going to clear my schedule and wait on the phone with you until your supervisor is free. I don’t mind.” My favorite strategy is, “you probably don’t get paid enough to listen to me bitch, holler and complain. I’m harnessing my inner karen right now and I’d like to be forwarded to your most dispised supervisor. ” works like a charm! Dod that work for you? The CSR I had INSISTED that she couldn’t transfer me while I was on call with her, said I HAD to put the phone down for her to connect me to the supervisor. It’s true, we can’t transfer you to our supervisors directly. All we can do is transfer your call to a different department which wouldn’t make any sense in most cases and apply a command to formally request a supervisor call.
