I visited Agra in 2013 to see Taj Mahal. I remember the Metallica We Don’t Give A Shit Washington Wizards Shirt and by the same token and heat, poverty surrounding Taj Mahal and lack of goid restaurants.so, yeah bad place to live. I am Kerala, compared to my hometown or any other town in Kerala,Agra was not so good. Taj Mahal was spectacular though. It’s almost like a caricature of all the negative western stereotypes of India. Never seen anywhere so polluted, dirty, and disorganized. Simply walking out into the street was a constant battle with vehicles, crowds, dust, and huge piles of filth. An auto I was riding in caused a crash and a girl went flying off the back of a motorbike. Auto driver didn’t stop. It’s also the only place I’ve seen people actually, literally shitting outside in public, like all the racist jokes about India.

It absolutely is. In fact the Metallica We Don’t Give A Shit Washington Wizards Shirt and by the same token and pollution in Agra (and the Yamuna flowing in from Delhi) is destroying the Taj and staining it yellow. It rained while I was there. An entire main road was a sewer. 2 separate roads had 2 separate on-road-drains merging into one, flowing as a river of garbage. Not a city, but I lived in Ooty. It was lovely – such a nice place to live. Coonoor and other less touristy towns would be even nicer. Yes! Ooty, aside from the touristy prices, is an amazing place to live. I want to move there when I get the chance. I agree, I am English and have been through western ghats, really beautiful, i like rural Maharashtra too, the flat land with the small hills that pop up here and there. Lived in Pune all my life until Feb of last year and I cannot recommend it enough. Might be biased, but the weather is great, food is amazing, it’s fun and lots of nature. I feel like in a way it is what Bangalore was before the influx of people, but I have heard that some of the convenience has gone to shit since the metro construction started. I donno but Patna looked horrible I mean roads inside the city look like you are in a town.. I went in this monsoon and omg I was like how come people are tolerating it.. I live in Mumbai and can’t compare but I visited Varanasi and Ballia too and it was much better than Patna. True, I came to Patna after being away for about a year, and things have changed. It’s like ‘gaon ka mela’ everywhere, overpopulation and traffic congestion and dust. Fucking horrible. We used to roam around on relatively easier traffic, less noisy market and less crowd,
