Yeahhh in my experience when they want you to “grow into” a role, it’s a good way for them to get out of paying you or giving you the Liza Treyger Logo Shirt Furthermore, I will do this official job title. Had this happen once and only once and they just could never find the money to actually pay me a supervisor salary but had no problem bringing in new people at a “starting” wage that was close to my pay after having been there for 5yrs. If you’re good enough to take the position, you’re good enough to be paid for it when you take the position. Verbal promises aren’t worth the paper they’re written on, and future compensation doesn’t pay the bills now. Contrary to the thoughts of the doom and gloomers, it’s a good opportunity. You’ll need to finesse it. Let them know you are both appreciative and excited.

Set a date. One month, three months, six months- doesn’t matter. But insist a date be put on the Liza Treyger Logo Shirt Furthermore, I will do this calendar for decision day on their part. Let them know in no uncertain terms, its your intention to kick ass and then define kicking ass as growing the business and every individual working in it. 5. Hedge your bet. Prep your resume and start looking around right now. Establish some leverage if you can for Decision Day. “Grow into it” is just them saying “We’ll take the actual salary for the position as of TODAY and let you grow into it with 2.5% annual cost of living ‘raises’ until the salary is met or you are no longer with the company”. They want you to be the scape goat while they look for an outside hire. Basically corporate structure means shit rolls down hill and responsibility creeps up hill. Meaning they want someone that they can delegate down to without having to talk to the lowly peon workers and they want someone to be insulation between them and the peon for personnel and day to day matters. They also want a backup in case something goes wrong they can put your head on the chopping block. Yeah, I’m sorry, but this sounds like a scam. If my manager was fired, and I was asked to take on additional responsibilities for the promise of more pay later, I’d decline. Never give them more than they’re paying you. Words are free. They can say anything they want and make any promises, and it won’t cost them a dime.

1. Length is measured from the highest point on the collar down to the bottom hem. 2. Width is measured across the body of the shirt under the armpits, one way. 3. Sleeves are measured from center back to hem.
