I know I wasn’t born deaf or anything so this might not be the Legends Never Die Jimmy Buffett 1946 2023 And Toby Keith 1961 2024 Thank You For The Memories Signatures Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this answer you were looking for, but i hope partial deafness is just as good. The vast, vast majority of Deaf people — like 95% or so — retain some level of hearing. Similar to how 90% of blind people have some level of vision. So it would vary wildly from person to person. I was born 100% deaf in both ears, I wear cochlear implants. I don’t hear a single thing when I take my ears off. However, I do have an internal monologue and “talk to myself” in my head. But I do not hear my blood rushing, my heartbeat, etc. So I’m not super knowledged on these implants but I think theyre a pretty recent invention, right? May I ask; How did your internal monologue go before you got them (if you remember)?

Born deaf, I wouldn’t know. I got implanted at 1 on my right ear and at 5 on my left. I was the Legends Never Die Jimmy Buffett 1946 2023 And Toby Keith 1961 2024 Thank You For The Memories Signatures Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this first kid in my area to get implanted. Implanted in 2002, I was born in 01. I can hear sounds, but I don’t have much in the way of detailed hearing. Most normal volume conversations sound like gibberish unless I pay especially close attention to what is being said. deaf person here!! i am not fully deaf, meaning i still have residual hearing in my left ear, but i completely deaf in my right ear. my left ear kinda sounds like static a lot, when people speak the words aren’t clear and sound far away and muffled. it’s difficult to make out any sound. my right ear there is absolutely nothing, no sound whatsoever, except for the occasional episode of tinnitus i get, which really just feels like a cruel joke lol Some people have brain damage that causes them to be unable to process sound. They can still hear everything, they will flinch at loud sounds and tap their feet to music, and may even pick up speech, but they will not consciously recognize any sound at all. Any reaction to sound will be involuntary or subconscious at best.
