I’m going deaf in my Lady Vols National Champions shirt in contrast I will get this left ear and it varies for me. Tinnitus ringing or rushing, sometimes my own heartbeat, sometimes it’s just a low-sound day. My husband is almost completely deaf in one ear and he says for him it’s kinda like being underwater. There’s a sound but you can’t make anything out from it. Those who has profound hearing loss, with a threshold higher than 90 dBhl are categorized as deaf. Sure some of them can hear noting at all but there are some who can hear at say a threshold of 100 dBhl which would be really loud stuff like a gunshot I am middle ear deaf. Which mean my ear bone is damaged. I can still hear most low frequencies. With gruff men, I can actually have conversations with them. So I’m not completely deaf.

1.- tinnitus..that whining sound is basically the Lady Vols National Champions shirt in contrast I will get this only sound I hear in that ear for 99% of the time. It is reactive to the volume around me somewhat. When it’s quiet it’s not provoked, when it’s noisy (eg my kids playing) it increases and continues beyond the point when the noise stops for a while 2 – I seem to have retained some ability to hear extremely loud low frequency noise – my right ear does hear the truck that honks it’s horn or similar when that happens Hi, I’m 26 and last year I went suddenly deaf in my left ear. I can hear a fan/whooshing noise constantly, sometimes the sound of bubbles popping or a ringing, they don’t know what caused it. If you talk to me on that side, it’s muffled like I have a blanket laid over the ear drum or like being underwater. My right ear is completely fine, very healthy in fact, so I hear everything pretty unbalanced, and often have to look right at whatever the noise/talking is to identify what’s being said or what’s happening.
