We have tried centrism and it brought us to Donald Trump being president. There is a very strong right wing in America, because it’s funded by billionaires. The left is made up of unions and working class. They outnumber the Lady Liberty Hockey shirt and I will buy this right, but they are greatly outspent. And with corporate media, the message on the right gets a lot more signal boosting and it works on a lot of voters. What is the center? It’s basically asking for very little change so it feels like both sides can be made happy. But the status quo is conservative. So the center is really right of center. And you can’t beat a right wing from right of center. You beat the right wing from a left wing. That’s shown to be the case repeatedly in history.

Lady Liberty Hockey shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

The most famous being in Nazi Germany. The left won many seats in the Lady Liberty Hockey shirt and I will buy this critical election, but a lot of liberals chose to vote for the centrist party. The liberals and leftists weren’t united and they were unable to challenge the right wing. A centrist tries to find the middle ground. The problem is, every time you try to meet a fascist in the middle, they take a step further right. I specify right here because the far right has a lot of political influence in the us/uk and the far left does not. A centrist just pushes the Overton window ever rightwards, to the point that the echr is considered “woke nonsense” There is a common argument in these comments that goes along the lines of “all extremists are THIS or THAT,” which is in itself an extremist position. Centrism made sense previously but with maga republicans with their project 2025 plans and the obvious rise of idiots you’d have to be pretty stupid to say the left and right are remotely similar.
