I’m curious about the Just A Girl Who Loves Fall and Aggies Peanuts Cartoon Halloween Shirt Apart from…,I will love this line John’s friend says to him i don’t remember exactly, but I think it was something like “don’t listen to your mom you have to see it for yourself.” I guess I’m interested in knowing what it is she tells John about the Mask Collector What Sally said is almost nothing to go on, especially considering she called herself a murderer too for an extremely justifiable kill. Compared to what his father told him and that all of society considers the movie version to be the true version, it’s completely believable John believes that version and I believe what the show was trying to convey. I think one way to interpret it is: Because of his alleged newfound adoration for his father, he’s going to consider joining the military to honor him, thus opening the door for a potential cycle of violence. I think that’s a bit of a stretch, it was not even vaguely hinted at that John wants to be a soldier and if anything being a soldier is slightly castigated in the film (“I don’t want to take orders”)

I think it has to do with Barry getting what he wanted, in the Just A Girl Who Loves Fall and Aggies Peanuts Cartoon Halloween Shirt Apart from…,I will love this show it’s very important to him that John views him as a hero to the point one of his main motivations to kill Cousineau is to prevent John from finding out about his past. And in the end, John does look up to him as a hero because of the very movie he was trying to prevent. It’s kind of ironic No I know it wasn’t hinted or implied, just thinking about ways John is having to cope with his father’s identity. Yeah I’m coming around to this explanation now tbh. Definitely not what i saw at first though. I truly think it all depends on if Sally has talked to him about it or not and in general how his relationship with Sally is. I’m now hating that they left that so vague imo I was thinking he might just become an actor in the future, in a parallel to Woody Harrelson (given that his father was also a hitman).
