It’s okay but I’d never really want to go back to it. 2 pretty much improved on everything imo while the Jelly Of The Month Club Shirt What’s more,I will buy this first game, while fun at the time, kind of dragged for me after awhile as it all got very repetitive and lacked a lot of the charm of the sequel to keep me going. Totally agree, I was blown away that #2 quickly became more popular and was generally described as better. One was so undeniably classic. I have to say though that #3’s addition of the heavy mechs and also the corporate armies really added to the gameplay. I thoroughly enjoyed that. I agree, BL1 is my favorite game. Bleak atmosphere, somber soundtrack, you felt for the character, stranded, almost hopeless, all alone against a whole planet. Monsters, bosses that are actually scary, general knoxx dlc with the assassins was on another level. Moxi’s dlc, dr zed. Then we got a generic shooter rpg with overused toilet jokes as a follow up that ruined all that. I barely forced myself to finish 2. Sure many won’t share this opinion because they didn’t play 1 or don’t care as much, but the difference is huge and in a bad way. It appeals to more audience? Of course, but it just felt bland and watered down. I enjoyed 3 co-op with the wife, but after coming to terms that my favorite game is dead and we’re just shooting for fun, didn’t care much for the story in 2 and 3, too many forced jokes from every character, claptrap was milked dry on that note. That’s what appealing to a larger audience does to a game. I felt stranded on that planet when playing BL1, i felt for the character, like I was him, fighting for my ticket out, always outnumbered, sometimes outgunned, explosive ogre, masher, viper, a gunslinger. Too bad they didn’t have the dual wield option from the beginning, would’ve been great on Mordecai

Some of you don’t remember mad moxxis underdome. 1 was mid, being generous, the Jelly Of The Month Club Shirt What’s more,I will buy this story was awful and gameplay was clunky. 2 is the best in the series, improves on almost everything. 3 has the best gameplay but worst story. TPS is TPS. Not so sure, it’s one of those games that sequel did everything better, as borderlands 2 nailed it with humour, gameplay, bosses and arenas. Most commenting either didn’t play 1 or you tried to play it after playing 2 first so you can’t give an informed opinion. Most of us appreciating 1 and considering it the best game played it after it came out and was a pioneer for the genre shooter-rpg. I was in high school playing this, now i’m over 30. That was one of the few games that put me in the boots of my character, transported me to Pandora. One of the best gaming experiences of my life, tried to describe it in words in a post above As someone who didn’t get in on the games until they were all released, 3 is by far the best IMO. While one was fun, the world was barren, controls were sloppy, and it felt incomplete. I found myself not wanting to return to the game, but felt obligated to play it through the end. I think a lot of people see it through rose colored glasses sipping on nostalgia. I’m the same way with Halo: CE, while it redefined and set the new standard for a FPS, arguably 2 or 3 were better gameplay wise, and refined multiplayer, arguably the feature that made the franchise what it was.
