BaPersonally, I’d rather go in early and get out early. The earlier my work day is done the better, and I’m at the age where I don’t care about waking up early. I used to deal with the same bullshit these two ladies I worked with would come in at 7 AM every day but then they would talk and get coffee and fart around and when I came in at 9:30 they were just starting work, actually doing work. For me I would come in at 9:30 and I would be up and running by 9:35. They would also constantly brag about how they came in so early. Most companies state their business hours in their code of conduct. I’d find the hours in the code and comply with that. Working before 8 am is ludicrous. If people want to work earlier because that works for them, fine, but to require that is ludicrous.

Mine just says 8-4. I WFH and usually start at 9. It’s a bummer when management is not flexible. I never realized staring earlier, and then finishing earlier was a bad thing, but again, i can just be werid for thinking this way if course I’m just wondering how you found a place that’s still actually only 8hrs, everywhere I’ve ever worked has expected more than that because they won’t pay for our lunch time. I love taking naps in the afternoon, so i like working earlier. So when I’m on office work i usually start my work at 6 (either start working homeoffice or getting on my commute to the office) I love my early start, avoid all the peak traffic, easy as parking at work, by the time i’ve gone to the shops, showered, done dinner and relaxing most people are stiĺl stuck in the peak traffic going home. Weekends are better to, get to chill and watch the sun rise with breakfast and coffee (best part of the day) It wasn’t an office job I had a grocery store job and they told me I could work 7-3 and I told them I was OK with that. A week into working there they were upset that I wasn’t coming in at 430 to unload the trailer even though that’s not what I agreeed to Some people want to avoid commute traffic and get home at a reasonable hour so they can have some of the day left to be with kids or get other things done.
