If your entire face looks like a glazed doughnut, it’s too much shine. Glow like you’ve just come in from a brisk walk in the I can’t do a day without watching to Frank Sinatra signature shirt but in fact I love this sun! I feel like I fight the Shiny skin every day, mostly from spf but also just natural oils that settle. I hate it so much. When I use Glossier’s Future Dew my skin looks VERY SHINY by my definition, but if I leave that out and use my moisturizer and spf my skin looks glowy. Glory looks like healthy radiant skin that reflects light, it shouldn’t look like oil sitting on top of the skin I think it’s mainly health related. If the face looks dry, irritated, dull then it’s greasy. If it’s bright, bouncy and firm, then it’s glowy! Shine is more like athletic. (When it’s good)all the dust that can randomly stick on them.. if I clean them daily as in scrape some product off it just seems like too much work and wasteful. If you have this type of cream blushes, do you have the same issue? Did you regret buying it? Any opinions on this?I’m a pro MUA. Best practice for sanitation is to scrape some off with a clean pallette knife or spatula onto another surface like a metal pallette. Start with a small amount and it won’t be wasteful. Even if you are the only one using a product this helps extend the life because you aren’t introducing additional bacteria or other contaminants.

This is top tier advice for retaining the I can’t do a day without watching to Frank Sinatra signature shirt but in fact I love this shelf-life of cream products like and any product that has an applicator that makes direct contact with skin. If you can avoid that and use a sanitized surface as the middle route between applying and ensuring the applicator never makes contact with skin or a contaminated palette, it will last sooo much longer in your kit! TBH I don’t worry about it and it hasn’t caused an issue. They have preservatives in them to prevent them from growing bacteria. I mostly use the Merit cream blush which is sort of stick like though, so it’s a little different maybe. You could wipe that off with a tissue if you wanted but I don’t. Tower28 is a “clean” brand and has had issues with products growing mold & smelling strange from probably going bad. I have had several relatively new/unused products spoil after a few months. They were all as green” brands and/or lacked preservatives.
