Oily: dehydrated, inflamed, low collagen skin that overproduces oil where the Highland springs high school alumni football shirt in other words I will buy this oil settles into enlarged pores and cracks/wrinkles so that light reflects off the layer of oil. Shiny. You feel it when you have greasy skin, like you feel the oil sitting on top of your skin. Glowy skin just feels comfortable and not heavy. Hard to tell just by looking because they can look very similar. But glowy skin looks closer to looking just like “natural” skin From my decades of observation, it is the condition of the skin under the glow that draws the line. If one has any discoloration or non-beauty marks/bumps (aka not perfectly flawless skin) dewy/glowy becomes oily and greasy. Also Hydrated vs dehydrated skin makes a difference.

This is obviously subjective, but I have almost never seen someone with imperfect skin referred to as glowy over greasy. And the Highland springs high school alumni football shirt in other words I will buy this less conventionally-attractive a person is, the less grace they’re given towards glowy as well. My personal opinion on it is that placement of the “glow” makes a difference, it should be on normally highlighted areas like cheekbones, middle forehead, maybe tip of the nose and the philtrum, not over the whole face. For me, the difference lies in how well the skin is cleansed. I can tell if your skin is greasy vs. well-hydrated and glowy. There is a certain visible stickiness and smell to it, in my experience. Often, when you feel like you have greasy skin, it is actually your skin overreacting to too little moisture in your diet and thus skin and as such is trying to overcompensate, at least that is how my dermatologist explained it to me.
