Being a parent to a human child seems so utterly exhausting! I am NOT comparing fur babies to real children but I wanted to mention that my cat does the Hello Darkness My old Friend Guitar shirt so you should to go to store and get this same thing. Begs for food, I give her the food, she takes a few bites and walks away to do something else. I’ll pick her up and put her back in front of the food and she’s like “oh yeah, I wanted that”. Every god damned day. Urging a kid to finish a meal isn’t quite the same thing as forcing them to sit for HOURS at a table. What you described is abuse. When I was maybe 7-8 I really wanted to try orange juice on my cereal but my parents said if I did that I had to eat the whole bowl. It was the most disgusting thing I have ever eaten. It’s baffling to me that the parents didn’t think of this first and just pour a little OJ over a few pieces of cereal in a cup first, instead of pouring and wasting a whole bowl of both.
