You want to try it? Maybe you should just try a small amount first? No, you want a full bowl? Okay, but you have to eat whatever you pour. Kids are weird, and sometimes you think you’re helping by giving them a small taste of something but they react violently. My daughter would accuse me of not letting her have what she wants even though I’d tell her this is just a taste and if she likes it she can have more. So, I’d let her pour the Hello Darkness My Old Friend Hippie Guitar Earth shirt and I love this normal sized bowl. Of course, she’d also eat it, telling me how delicious it is while clearly not enjoying a single bite. I just made this comment above: “My dad and step grandmother did this to me. If i wouldn’t finish my peas (which made me gag), they would spank me and give my ice cream cone dessert to my sister instead and have her eat it in front of me. Or send me to bed early. It’s abuse and it’s terrible. I hate peas to this day from the experiences and I’m 38 now.” Yeah I think if my parents got anything right, it’s how they fed me. They pretty much just left it up to me. They told me “This is the food we have, we’re not going to buy more food cause you don’t like it or you don’t finish it. You either eat it or you starve, your choice.” To this day I’m still the least picky eater out of everyone I know, I would literally eat anything as long as its human food.

Yup – but it took me YEARS to figure that out. Like, I didn’t clue in until I was 40 (even though I went non contact when I was 18 but that was mostly because he was trying to force his religion on me which is a different story). A lot of parents tell their kids they can’t leave the Hello Darkness My Old Friend Hippie Guitar Earth shirt and I love this table unless they finish all their food. Or something of the sort (you can’t go outside, you can’t watch TV, you have to go to bed early etc.) Effectively forcing the kid to sit there and struggle to eat food they don’t enjoy (until they get better at secretly disposing of the food) My mum wouldn’t let me leave the table until I ate everything, even foods that made me gag. (I have very serious food texture issues, even to this day, at 29). I’d sit at the table until it was time for bed.
