Get them to articulate what ‘comfortable’ actually means – it’s too ambiguous. What do they want to see from you before they are comfortable, force them to make it tangible and measurable. Make sure you get comfortable being a manager, add it to your resume, and jump ship to another company that will pay you to be a manager. Turn it down without a pay raise. This is a management strategy. There is no “growing into” the Excitable Edgar Cartoon Face shirt besides I will buy this job. They can train you and get below market labor by demoralizing you for every mistake. Let them either pay you for the additional stress you’ll be taking on, or let them pay someone else to deal with the stress and cost them more money I wouldn’t be comfortable taking a position you weren’t confident I could do. If you are having hesitation I’d recommend going with someone you fully trust. If you do want me for the position I’ll be putting in my full ability from the start and expect to compensated as such.

Excitable Edgar Cartoon Face shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

You need to insist on being paid for the Excitable Edgar Cartoon Face shirt besides I will buy this job you are going to be doing, anything less than that is disrespectful but don’t say that part I almost downvoted this because it pissed me off so much, but I caught myself and remembered it’s not your fault that the COO is a turd-muncher I mean you tell them to pay you and give you the title and if they don’t you decline. You say you’ve already proven yourself and also don’t say but imply they need you. Your boss is gone. You’re doing them a favor. Don’t step up for free. They’re shopping for a replacement with the money they’re saving. This is familiar. They’re not done fucking up and you’re the next fall guy. We work for money. Remind them. Make them pay you whatever you think being the next fall guy is worth or you’re a bitch.
