Unfortunately, your last sentence isn’t 100% true. I’ve been to both prison and county lock up also. Not everyone treats you with dignity. There are a lot of shitty people that work as correctional officers. They abuse their power just because they can. I’m not saying everyone is like that, but many a guard will treat you like shit on their shoe. No matter how polite and cooperative you are. ETA – Here in NC, if you have a warrant and you go turn yourself in. You won’t be stripped if you’re going to bail out soon. (Unless someone thinks you might have weapons or drugs hidden on you. ) If you’re not bailed out in a certain time frame, they will then take you to be “dressed out,” meaning you take everything off, clothes, jewelry, hair ties, etc… You have to turn in a circle with your arms up, shake out your hair, open your mouth and stick out your tongue and spread your legs wide and squat, and cough. Then they issue you a sports type bra, undies, socks, shower shoes, and a lovely blue and white striped jumpsuit (If you’re female, the Escanor Seven Deadly Sins Red Comic T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this males get an orange and white striped one). You also get your bedding, (A scratchy blanket, a fitted sheet for your mat and a bag of toiletries.) You see the nurse and then they take you to your cell/bunk depending on if you’re in a dorm like pod or one with individual cells. Again, this is one jail in NC. You could always call the detention center or wherever you’re going and ask them what their procedures are. Good luck to you.

Escanor Seven Deadly Sins Red Comic T-Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

Corrections Officer here… been one for 22yrs. Our facility.. if you stay/get dressed in, you will be strip searched. If you come into booking you will be subjected to a pat down, but if you never leave booking you will not be strip search. This is how our facility does things. I would not call the Escanor Seven Deadly Sins Red Comic T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this facility and ask.. as this will make them think you are trying to find ways to sneak in contraband. Turning yourself in will minimize risks of a strip search, but depending on the situation one may be conducted no matter what. Turning yourself in will also establish a level of good will that may keep you in jail for less time, meaning less chance of a strip search. If you want to be arrested you will definitely be strip searched, and will probably spend more time behind bars. If this happens you will definitely be strip searched multiple times. Turn yourself in before you have someone knocking on your door. The sooner you do so the less risk you have of being labeled a flight risk, which will directly lead to strip searches.

1. Length is measured from the highest point on the collar down to the bottom hem. 2. Width is measured across the body of the shirt under the armpits, one way. 3. Sleeves are measured from center back to hem.
