I’m in the Dolly Parton Shirt but in fact I love this Midlands and I caught Lyme disease from one. The docs had me in as soon as I mentioned a bullseye had appeared on my side. Had my first dose of Doxycycline within 2 hours of calling them, I was impressed by the swiftness of it all. Yes there are, and my dog got one in Beckenham park. They are not as common as some countries, but they are definitely here. Even in London. I personally have never had a tick bite, but I have had to remove ticks from my cats over the last 20 years. I’ve had multiple friends get tick bites and two in the last 5 years have developed lyme disease. They do exist and happen, but I don’t fret too much about them. There are warnings occasionally about walking through long grass with shorts on etc, and telling people to stick to paths. Check pets etc.

I live out in the Dolly Parton Shirt but in fact I love this sticks, and I’m.alwaysout in the woods and stuff. There are alot if deer, and those are the ones that make you sick The tick had to be sent away for testing after it was removed from my ear to see if it was a sheep or deer tick, and if it was positive for lime disease. Started anti viral medication this week. It’s making me head fuzzy, and I feel like I have a puncture somewhere, and all the Jen (that’s me, I’m Jen) has leaked out. I’m so, so tired. Yes but not really an issue in a lot of places. I’ve encountered them a lot in the Scottish highlands, and got Lyme from a tick bite whilst on North Uist last year I’ve lived here my whole life and never had a tic, been camping, waking in forests, long grass, up hills. Maybe there’s regional variations as I see others have or maybe I don’t appeal to tics as I only had 1 after 5 weeks in Africa in long grass every day! Yeah I had one attached to my leg after running one morning, but that was in a more rural location than London. My nephew was unfortunately bitten on the testicle by one, there were screams coming out the Dr room that afternoon when they had to remove it. Yes there are loads. My cats get them regularly and I got one the other day in Windsor great park which is notorious for them due to a lot of long grass.
