I was under the Colbie Young football 4 art shirt and by the same token and impression that like malaria with mosquitos, the tick has to have fed on an animal (commonly deer), that has the disease, prior to biting a person for it to be transmitted? Lymes is a virus if I remember…how would anti bi’s work? Do they prevent bacterial infections that would otherwise pave the way for Lymes to take hold? Lymes is a bacteria but we also understand there are coinfections, the bacteria that causes lymes is related to syphillis funny enough and that can be difficult to treat if treatment is delayed You’re right, its a tickbite but the studies which state transmission only after24 hrs is a little flaw, there is some evidence of faster transmission but this is sporadic

Me and partner go for walks in the Colbie Young football 4 art shirt and by the same token and country and we normally tick check each other since he had one in the back of his neck as a child. But I’ve never had one and I grew up in grass pretty much. I live in South London and I’m having to remove ticks from my dog on a regular basis. I walk the same route as him (surprise) and I’ve never had a tick. But he’s sticking his nose in and running around in the long grass. The local authorities are getting quite on board with “wilding” which means more long grass this more ticks. You’re most at risk if you’re in the long grass. Stick to the paths, wear long trousers and closed in shoes when in those areas and you’ll be ok. Insect repellant also works. Spray it on your footwear and clothing on your lower half before setting out. As others have said they’re really only a problem in wildlife areas with long grass.
