Truthfully, I could stuff way more than $500 in a shopping cart, but even MORE on an L Cart, but before I left we had multiple departments hoarding them with their shit on them. I got tired of it when I’d get asked for one and didn’t find one, so I’d shove their shit off and take theirs. Fuck em. We have departments that leave a stack of empty boxes on them to make them look full and to keep them, and to avoid possibly having to bale them. Probably just a store that constantly runs out of carts and has multiple customers complaining about not having carts. I have been in stores where the cart bays were empty and the cart pusher is standing around because every cart was being used already and there were no carts in the lot. They’re trying to enforce this on us on the overnight and it’s like why? Theres no customers? Who needs the cart? Also they make up this stupid ass rule but also won’t hire enough cart pushers so there’s actually enough manpower to keep them stocked up front? You want carts available or not? Make up your mind

I’m sorry but I need something to put cardboard in, and to carry my water bottle, scanner, printer, and OMNI phone. The normal carts reserved for employees are always, ALWAYS taken by fashion associates, and another DM who has dubbed it “her cart” and gets mad when other people use it, even on her days off. I couldn’t imagine doing a cardboard walk and dragging those giant beige bins all over the Cammarezi Bros That’s Amore Bakery Shirt in other words I will buy this place, then having a CAP member get mad at me for using one when they don’t have any others to use. This was our store. They ended up giving us ogp like bin/rolling racks. Decent upgrade… We still use shopping carts for returns and to stock 82 Ideally, yes, shopping carts are for the customers, but when there’s such a shortage of topstock carts and L-carts, it’s unreasonable to expect that you’re gonna use nothing at all. Like what do they want you to do, carry them by the armful? EDIT: if they are going to insist you don’t use the shopping cart, then talk to them about what you should use instead.
