Funny as my company is the Bershka I Love Troy High School shirt so you should to go to store and get this exact opposite. People that come in at 6:30-7:30 and leave by 4 are seen as much harder workers than people that come in at 8:30 and leave at 6. Not a morning person and hate coming in earlier than 8:30. CEO is usually gone by 4 and I get shit for working “banking hours”Yeah, some environments are early morning, especially if the boss likes to get in early. I actually preferred that, but most of my time seemed to be where the bosses worked 9-9. Yeah, I’d probably come in a little earlier like 8:30. 5:30 feels like an OK time to leave but maybe stretch it to 6. But there’s a fine line here. On the one hand, OP is in the probationary period and should want to make a good impression. On the other, just being at the office for 60 hours isn’t healthy. I would try to be at least in the middle (arrive before some, leave after some), especially in your probation period, people definitely notice.

Don’t you find that so dumb tho about our current work culture? That we have to feel guilty about to coming in and out on our contract time? Fuck that My last company I stayed for 3 roles. My second to last I got used to coming in early and leaving early (like 730 – 430) because that’s what that team did. When I moved teams I mentioned this to my manager and he said it was fine. A few months later he tells me, “you’re doing good work but people are starting to notice when you’re not here. No one cares that you’re here at 730 because they can’t see it…but they care when they come looking for you at 445 and you’re not here).
