If I need something from someone after 3pm I don’t expect to get it till the Best day ever Disneyland vacation family shirt Additionally,I will love this next day. Even if they were there and saw my request I assume that they’re finishing up their urgent/planned tasks for the day. Generally, sure. That’s kind of where I was goig with the bit about email/slack. But you ARE still there and it would be arrogant to say “Sorry, it’s after 3, talk to me tomorrow.” There’s an undercurrent of entitlement in some of the comments here as if people can set their own hours and… in most jobs that’s not the case. Even if there’s no hard and fast start and end time, you’re expected to be around during business hours. Reminds me of stereotypical Japanese work culture. Just be there late even if you aren’t doing anything work related = hard work… Yes. No matter where I am, how well I’m compensated, or how negatively im viewed. I will never comply and will always show up on time and get tf out ASAP. I don’t need to play petty office politics like this I have better things to do. And what’s even better is that because of wage conditions, you probably can make more being over employed on the DL.
