You don’t have to make any changes to be gay but the transition just looks hellish. And puberty blockers from what I read have no side effects but not enough data into long term effects as well. Full medical transitioning seems a lot of the time to be curing one issue for the short term for the uncertainty of success in the long. The best case scenario for the trans youth of today is that it’s like being gay and there are no other psychological factors in the future and better surgery will impt. Worst case is a future plagued with physically and emotionally crippled trans men and women viewing the medical and psychological professions as well meaning Mengele’s. Not trying to offend. People are just too flippant about this issue and view it as very black and white.
