I don’t think it’s wrong blto not want to go, but free food is free food. Get something good if it’s their treat. You don’t have to deal with the ALCS 2023 Texas Rangers Cowboy baseball shirt In addition,I will do this petty repercussions afterwards anyway! I wouldn’t hand pick anyone. You don’t want to burn bridges. Just accept the lunch and just smile (and be fake if you have to). It’s a free lunch and will be over before you know it. Don’t overthink it. I had a last day much offered once. I just kind of said “yeah, maybe , I’ll let you know when my last day is, not sure which one.” Then I just went to lunch with my two closest work friends that day. Didn’t want a big lunch really. Is the farewell punch on the last day? Chances are, you’ll be allowed to leave right after that lunch. If you don’t have the lunch, probably will have to work until 5pm.

Eh. If I felt like I wanted to do it I’d go to it. We would all gather as a group when somebody left to go out drinking and not include management. Some idiot fucked it up and invited management once and ruined the ALCS 2023 Texas Rangers Cowboy baseball shirt In addition,I will do this whole tradition. Everyone hated the guy and he still showed up lol. If I didn’t want to go I’d say I appreciate the gesture but I just want to go quietly and wish to forego the lunch. We do farewell lunches here but it’s always the same shitty food I’d rather just go get something solo to celebrate. My buddy did a “I’m retired” after 30 years. Said I don’t want a party, I’m gone in 2 weeks, come say goodbye if you want. We were fine with that, and he was a great man. I wouldn’t do a lunch or farewell thing. It’s uncomfortable to me. People will say “you have to let ppl say goodbye” but this isn’t about them. Do what you want and say bye to who you want to say bye to
