On some issues, taking the Zeeland West Dux 2023 MHSAA Football Division 3 The Four Shirt Furthermore, I will do this middle ground between two extremes is wise. The trouble is, there are a lot of issues where being neutral or moderate doesn’t really make sense. To deliberately choose an inflammatory example, consider abortion. The debate around abortion hinges on one binary question: is an unborn child a human life? If it is, then abortion is unspeakably evil and must be outlawed full stop. If it isn’t, then there’s no reason to place any restrictions on it whatsoever, and the decision to do it or not falls 100% within the rights of the pregnant woman. There isn’t really room for a moderate position here, not that I can see at any rate. The problem is most people who criticize centrism don’t actually know what it is. It’s not “let me listen to every opinion and take the middle road” you don’t actually have to take all of the stupid opinions from both extremes into account because most of the time they don’t have valid opinions. What centrism actually is is having strong underlying principles that fall on both sides. I have strong stances on many issues but they fall on both sides of the spectrum (coming from the US so that’s what I’m basing the political spectrums on). You can also have strong personal issues but understand that is not what is best for the entire country. Two examples of me personally: 1) I personally think abortion is wrong. That being said I get that from my religion and the US isn’t a religious State, so I vote for pro abortion stances because I know there’s more people in this country than just me. 2) I would personally rather be robbed or murdered or whatever than pull a gun on someone else. That being said I believe the 2nd amendment is one of the most important amendments and vote pro 2nd amendment. These two issues fall on completely different sides of the spectrum. If most of your issues fall on different sides, congratulations You’re a centrist.

It can also be that you agree with one side of an issue but don’t agree with how that side wants to tackle it. Like I agree that climate change is an issue, but I also know that the Zeeland West Dux 2023 MHSAA Football Division 3 The Four Shirt Furthermore, I will do this left wants to radically change the infrastructure and way of life of US citizens. The problem is if you argue against those changes and don’t provide alternatives you are just arguing to argue and the extremest call you out on it (rightfully so). Just be informed and don’t blindly follow ANYONE because most people don’t know what they’re talking about I don’t know if you’ll ever see this OP, but this thread is your answer. Most people don’t even know what centrism is. Look up centrism on Wikipedia. It’s not some compromise between current political offerings. It takes a firm stand on a blend of social and private ownership and between rule of law and freedom. I’m guessing the ‘kill half the orphans’ take on centrism is a consequence of the American two party system.

1. Length is measured from the highest point on the collar down to the bottom hem. 2. Width is measured across the body of the shirt under the armpits, one way. 3. Sleeves are measured from center back to hem.
