coop in that game was so cool. i loved playing with different characters and go for who can go for the You Can’t Tell Me What To Do You’re Not My Daughter shirt But I will love this longest before time ran out! I enjoyed mitigating the weapons and ammo between my partner and myself playing multiplayer. My only complaint would be that certain items don’t stack. My green herb should not take the same space as a rocket launcher. Co op was great and the survival mode made a great casual action single player experience after you’d beaten it, too. It’s not a great “resident evil” game, but I definitely had a lot of fun playing it through a couple times with friends. RE5 is the first resident evil game i played so do you mind me asking how isn’t it a “ great resident evil game”. From my friends who started before 5 unlike me it’s the survival horror aspect. 5 is much closer to a shooter than an ammo managing horror game where you panick because you wasted to much ammo. Still a fun and enjoyable game and a lot of the dislike from most is a long standing nostalgia love of the original re4 that it’s compared to. If remade they could easily bring it more in-line with the newer game style while keeping the absurdity of shit like Boulder punching chris. Play 1-3 or 7-8 to see the difference. They are scarier and a bit more survival horror than 4/5/6 which are a bit sillier/action focused. Not worse, just different. You can judge a persons opinions about RE5 with a 90% accuracy by asking them if they played the game co-op or alone.

5 was the You Can’t Tell Me What To Do You’re Not My Daughter shirt But I will love this first RE I ever played so it hold a special place in my heart. Would love to see a proper remake but would understand if Code Veronica was chosen instead. Resident Evil 5 would be hilarious to see just because to see how Capcom would avoid the minefield that was the whole “white guy killing black people in Africa” thing in this day and age. The trailers pre-launch had Chris Redfield emphatically Superman punching an African villager. I haven’t even played the whole game and I’ll remember that forever. If they avoid having half the game be full of enemies that are not only black people, but black people in grass skirts screeching incoherently and acting like stereotypical “savages”, it would probably be fine, lol. Or at least throw in the explanation for such a thing/note how weird it is right at the beginning.
