It’s like people believe companies deliberately choose to make less money just to inconvenience them when in reality they live in a deluded bubble where anything that is desirable for them is one hundred percent the You Can Never Have Too Many Books Snoopy shirt and I will buy this correct solution and has no negative impacts whatsoever on the companies that hired them. If it was cheaper and more effective to keep you at home, you would be at home. But it isn’t, and that’s why you’re being told to go back to your cubicle, because the benefits of remote work did not outweigh the negatives. Such a dumb, sensational headline… says who, for what kind of work, each individual is different? So many variables here. I find myself far less productive working from home and most of my colleagues I observe more laziness, less collaboration, less shared vision, when working from home. Is it convenient as hell and more laid back, heck yes! Is it more productive, doubtful… maybe for some, 100% not a unanimous statement though

You Can Never Have Too Many Books Snoopy shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

All I’m getting from your comment is essentially, “Not everyone works well in the You Can Never Have Too Many Books Snoopy shirt and I will buy this same environment so there shouldn’t be a one-size-fits-all solution to work. Those who can work from home should be able to. Those who can work in an office should, too.” Except in the video game industry. It went downhill after covid, making bugs and unfinished products the new norm. My company’s executive team is slowly but surely bringing people back to the office and “getting back to normal” as they put it. Even though for two years we demonstrated that remote work works. The people who are going to work, will work at home or the office. The people who are going to fuck around are going to do it at the office or at home. Doesn’t matter. For us, our executive team talks about family and culture a lot. They love this idea of office culture where people being donuts and socialize and get to know each other. I think that’s what they miss and why they hate remote work. It’s not that we can’t get our job done at home. It’s that the executive team can’t have “work lunches” and congregate around the front reception area to shoot the shit. It’s not the work that’s missing. It’s the socializing they miss.
