Clark and Ardern clearly aren’t the Yes I still watch Chicago P.D got a problem shirt Besides,I will do this same, but I think it’d have been interesting to compare the two if Ardern hadn’t had so much of a standing start. This is a fantastic example of benevolent sexism. Your Mum, bless her, is judging JA through a traditional female lens. The culture of her youth would have primed her cognition to admire her gender role qualities most of all, hence zeroing in on kindness and empathy. JA didn’t handle covid or the mosque massacre with empathy, she managed it with strength which was delivered with kindness and empathy. It’s not sexist to say she’s deeply empathetic but doesn’t have much managerial prowess in enacting new policy… Such a strange accusation. It is sexist to frame a woman’s success and/or failures by tradition gender role standards just like its sexist to judge men by male gender role standards. The fact that people are so reluctant to acknowledge JA’s strength and decisiveness under extreme pressure is quite telling. I can come across as patronising to some people and I’m not sure why. I was trying to be kind, to suggest that his mum was coming from a good place. I was just being a bit cheeky tbh. But your comment was sort of like ‘no no, the old dear can’t possibly know what’s going on…here’s what’s REALLY happening’

Yeah I can see why people would take it that way. I really struggle with social communication. How could I have worded it so that it didn’t sound condescending? The fact that you took my comment to heart and asked for clarification tells me you’re an empathy and thoughtful person. Don’t beat yourself up! Every single time somebody criticizes somebody you instantly go to that is sexist. Jacinda didn’t fire corrupt officials she failed at implementing most of her policies ies but was also kind and delt with trauma well. You are reaching so hard to make everything be about sexism jacinda and her policies mostly failed, which is why they scrapped the Yes I still watch Chicago P.D got a problem shirt Besides,I will do this majority of them. Think about the logic of this comment when paired with your own commenting history in the last 24 hours. I could quite easily say that you’ve been reaching so hard to deny anything aimed at JA has sexist connections etc etc.
