I would not count them because the vast majority self publish and never partner with a publisher who dictates how the game is made If you want to make a quality game like deep rock galactic you need a publisher and not everyone can get a publisher like coffee stain. Publishers provide money so an indie studio can actually work on the game and not die of starvation via being broke before the public release is available. They also can advertise the game effectively to bring in more sales. A 1 or 2 man team doesn’t need a publisher but they also don’t need to pay anyone else if they’re doing it as a hobby until they start pulling in money

There are plenty that are pretty good, and I would say most are somewhere in between. They’ve even got a whole separate installer to download each and every DLC individually and keep it all updated without having to fiddle about with Origin for six hours because your mods aren’t working. And so the mods understand, I’m not condoning piracy here or giving links, I’m just saying that it’s very much what someone on r/piracy would do.
