I’m at work and because I’m so good at my job and have a good amount of knowledge People keep asking for help, while I’m trying to do my own cases. Had a psych assessment 2 weeks ago where they determined I should be immediately placed on some medication. Still don’t have the prescription. Chased up the psychologist – no reply after 4 days. Checked my GP record and there’s a letter there advising me to book a “same-day routine appointment” to discuss. It was only by chance did I see it, haven’t received one in the post. Called my GP to book. Nothing available until May. I told the receptionist it was important. She said it wasn’t. I said it was as it’s mental health medication. She again said it wasn’t important as the letter says “routine”. I asked her to escalate the matter to someone higher, she said she didn’t like the way I was talking to her. I was being polite but firm. So, I don’t have an appointment. Checked online and found one for 2 weeks time which I guess is slightly better, but will be over a month to get a simple prescription. Fucking bullshit. My nose is so tickly and I’m sneezing loads, quite snotty. My daughter is really snotty so not sure if I’ve got what she’s got or it’s allergies/hayfever and I’ve got puffy eyes as I normally do when I’m like this. It’s seriously making me feel miserable. I wanted to take my daughter into town today but it’s just making me feel so crap I don’t want to go anywhere. And because it’s half term town will probably be manic anyway and stress me out. I hate how hard I find it to get us out the door and I to the fresh air sometimes. Hayfever season has started! I’ve been taking my tablets for two weeks now, so happy we’re finally getting some sun but hate the runny nose.
