I did a graded return after treatment for Cancer a few years ago. I was bricking it, as despite everything about my treatment going extremely well, the Yegor Chinakhov Russian professional ice hockey Good Goal Next T-Shirt in addition I really love this particular flavour of Leukaemia I had meant that statistically it was very unlikely I was going to survive 5 years, so switching back to ‘working’ after being that unwell and being within that 5 year period still made it all very weird, and meant my mental health really wasn’t great. That said. Routine really helped, and working again in a low stress capacity really helped. Coming back is a strange one though, as everything’s mostly the same but you’re completely out of the loop, and a few things will be different. You’ll feel weird as stuff you handed off might be coming back to you – things you were doing before might now be being done entirely differently. You might even be annoyed as stuff you handed off is coming back to you in the same/worse state than you left it!

Make sure to take it steady – try to have some catch up chats/video calls with some colleagues you used to work with (providing you like them) as it’s generally a nice chance to have an easy time, but also integrates you back into things. Make sure you take your lunch/any breaks. Try to leave the Yegor Chinakhov Russian professional ice hockey Good Goal Next T-Shirt in addition I really love this house and have a walk. Don’t work later than your shift – e.g. if you’re doing your 10 hours as 2 hours a day, don’t do more than the 2 hours. If you feel the mental health issues that caused you to need to take that leave coming back on, or are overwhelmed by them, don’t ignore this. The fact your employer has been fantastic about it means they care about you as you, so don’t feel you have to hide any issues you’re having. Fair play. I’d be more surprised if you weren’t bricking it. Fair play to you for helping to shine a light on this, there must be dozens returning to work this week after something similar.
