Then people grew up and moved on. I still see some of them, but it’s more like 3-4 times a year vs 3-4 times a week. In my early to mid twenties I had a pretty large group of friends that hung out all the WWE Survivor Series 2023 War Games Chicago Shirt moreover I love this time. Probably 5 days a week we would hang out. Once I got married and started a family we drifted apart Even if you did have a group of friends, consider how it would not live up to the fantasy portrayed by the TV shows. The hardest parts, by far, are going to be 1. Having that group all be inter-connected, and 2. Having no serious flakes/stragglers. Yep. The chance of everyone within the group being close to each other and being connected in such a way is pretty rare. I’m in my 30s and have had the same three best friends since the 7th grade. The level to which do everything together waned over our twenties. The mixture of work, marriages, kids, etc. means we don’t hang out as much as before, but we still get together when we get the chance, talk online, game together, etc. I feel like lifelong friends are a very real thing, but the idealized version on TV shows is just that, idealized. Groups of friends like that is realistic in different stages of life. I definitely had a group from HS through my late 30’s and then we grew apart once we started having kids. It happens. It was realistic and pretty common for people in their twenties during the 90s and 00s. That was a period before social media and smart phones that made texting easy. Back then, your friends were people you interacted with in person. Things started to change in the late 00s.

The only groups of adult friends that hang out everyday are unemployed, come from wealth and have zero responsibilities. It was fairly realistic for me. I don’t know if it was just a matter of circumstance or if many of us had loosely shared values but it lasted several years and we still catch up often. That is nice. It is definitely rare, yea. Finding a friend you get along with really well is doable. But to have a group where everyone gets along like that, yea… Don’t forget. Shows about 20 somethings are written by 40 somethings. It’s just a reflection of other people’s experiences. To quote everyone’s mom, “You want a friend, be a friend.” I had that group in Madison in the WWE Survivor Series 2023 War Games Chicago Shirt moreover I love this 90s. Best friends I have ever made. Though, much more drinking and smoking weed, and overall we were fatter than those on friends. HIMYM dealt with this directly, actually. Marshall got offered a judgeship that would have meant moving. He struggled with it, because he KNEW he would not see his homies as much. You can keep those friends IF you prioritized them, but there is a sacrifice to be made. I have a very tight knit group of friends that came together in our 20’s. I think what is important is some kind of thread to hold you together. For us, it was music festivals. It was the big thing we did every year together and brought us close. And then the rest of the year, we do tons of stuff together. So if you’re looking for that tight group, find a thing you want to do with people and look in those friends there. Maybe it’s camping or biking. Maybe it’s concerts, but find something to have in common with people.
