I have a pretty small channel with around 1,000 followers, but a bigger Youtuber (well, bigger than me, at least) in my niche with about 17,000 followers reached out to see if I wanted to collab. To be honest, I’m not sure if I want to do it. We both do travel content about our city, but while I try to make my videos pretty neutral and honest, I feel like they’ve gotten bigger by intentionally misrepresenting our city and feeding into negative stereotypes about our area for clicks and subscribers. Personally, I really do not respect them for it. There’s not that many people in our niche, maybe 8-10 other channels that take it somewhat seriously and post videos regularly, so there’s a good chance I might run into them in the Vintage Anthony Edwards Minnesota Timberwolves shirt in other words I will buy this future. I’ve briefly bumped into this person once before, and they seemed pretty nice or whatever, but I just really don’t like that they keep intentionally misrepresenting our area. What should I do in this situation?
