I consider myself center-liberal. I took one of those “political leaning” quizzes once and it put me not far off of Joe Biden in terms of what policies I support. In a perfect world I’d much rather live in a centrist society if our laws weren’t set up in such a way to lean either one way or the Villanova Wildcats wins 35 7 Delaware 2023 CAA Football Championship final score shirt so you should to go to store and get this other half the time. I support liberal ideologies, social programs, the usual schtick. In a perfect world, once the laws are established to put everyone on a somewhat equal ground after course-correcting all the awful shit that capitalism and Wallstreet have done to erode our freedoms and equality, I’d be much more inclined to follow a traditional Republican policy of “less government”. If the system is functioning in a more centrist manner then I feel like there wouldn’t be much need to have a more prominent government in the first place. The entire reason our government can’t get shit passed these days is because of the “all or nothing” and “our way or the highway” mentality of Republican politics. I strongly believe that the founding fathers didn’t intend for the system to function like this, and it’s a result of government getting bigger through corporate America pushing for harmful legislation that promotes greed over civil equality and helpfulness.

Honestly centrists are the fucking worst. You can see how fucked our society is and you’re cool with maintaining status quo 206 more repliesI think it is more about nuance. The far right and the far left hold rigid views and you’ll get shouted down if you disagree or present an argument that doesn’t fall within the black and white. The ability to have a conversation is a skill that seems to be disappearing. It is fascinating seeing the right and the left take the same approach with anti Israel sentiment though.
