Yes, there will always be parents who abdicate their responsibility completely, but most parents want to do a better job. Yeah, this is my take too. I do want to state that the Unity Day In A World Where You Can Be Anything Be Kind Diasy Colors T-Shirt and by the same token and following may seem like a defense of parents, but that’s not the opinion I hold. I can still be mad that they fuck their kids up while knowing how hard it is to not fuck them up this days When over half the country is one paycheck away from broke, whem the country is in the middle of a loneliness epidemic, and when having a local community is getting rarer and rarer, you just can’t expect parents at large to be able to be engaged with their kids Of course there are people who do manage to be wonderful parents in these hard times, but the harder something is, the fewer people there will be who do it

I really do believe in the Unity Day In A World Where You Can Be Anything Be Kind Diasy Colors T-Shirt and by the same token and statement “it takes a village to raise a child”, and we just don’t have that anymore. For most of our time as a species on this earth, you could get a break from your child because you weren’t the sole adult repsonsible for everything These days, you can get the cops called on you because you let your child play unsupervised in your own front yard. As in, the kids stayed in the yard, did not harass people or wander on other people’s property. Just in the front yard With this amount or pressure to be your child’s everything every minute and work yourself to death, no wonder why things are as bad as they are good thoughts. Relating to this, in the past, people could leave work at work and i think technology has kind of ruined that in a way as well. So people can no longer shut off and just be at home. You’d think even as a healthcare worker I could work my shift and come home. Nope, constant emails and team meetings and learning modules galore. Ppl can’t just work their jobs and come home anymore
